2009 Is The Year For Playstation 3

According to Metacritic’s Game Platform Power Rankings, the PlayStation 3 knocks the Xbox 360 from the top spot in 2009.

“Although Xbox 360 finished with the highest number of positively-reviewed titles (88 games receiving a Metascore of 75 or higher), and though Nintendo’s Wii had the largest total number of releases (a whopping 362, or almost one per day), the PS3 console showed the best overall game quality for the year. Among other factors, five of the 10 highest-scoring games in 2009 (for any platform) were PS3 titles, including the year’s top game: Uncharted 2: Among thieves."

Metacritic’s Power Rankings consider a number of factors including quality and quantity of titles released for each platform during 2009. According to the rankings, the Wii didn’t perform nearly as well this year: “The popular Wii platform had a poor year in terms of game quality, with critics liking just 28% of games released for the platform,” the site adds.

EEDAR analyst Jesse Divinch recently said games not considered for review has increased across all consoles from January to June 2009, with 37 percent of Wii releases not reviewed. Think that could’ve made a difference for the Wii?

In my opinion, PS3 truly deserves the first place this year. The coming of exclusive titles for PS3 like Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Killzone 2, God of War Collection, and Demon's Souls really make the giant console worth it. I never own Xbox 360, but the exclusive titles that it has don't really make me want to get it. Most of the exclusives are shooting genre (Gears of Wars, Halo 3 ODST), but there are also other exclusive besides shooting like Forza Motorsport 3. You can see from the Metacritic.com that PS3 games this year truly dominate. I love my PS3, and I will stick with it. Owh, I'm selling my Wii~

  1. Finally!
lets see who laughs last now. ps3 is here to stay and for all of those people who made fun of the ps3 2 years ago, take that!

overall, great games for everyone. although ps3 may have conquered this year, no matter who loses, the gamers wins.

  2. Yeah~ I'll admit that the bad comments and bad-mouthing of ps3 had made me think twice to get one :(

Yup, it doesn't matter which console won. People can get either ps3 or 360 if they want, but talking craps about the consoles that they don't like is a serious problem. A true gamer will respect other gamers preference on consoles. Stop fanboyism

    I prefer ps3 over 360, but I never hate 360 :)

  3. applausable but as all know, the hardwares in both PS3 and Xbox360 is just too low to enjoy the real gaming experience.

single ATi Radeon HD 5970 can pawn both of them, ridiculously.

    PC FTW dawgs!

A Little Debate About Love and Commitment

A week after thanksgiving, we had a group discussion about Islam. To make it short, suddenly it become a debate of my commitments toward someone. Yes, it is about love. These are the questions, and my answer: If you guys love each other, why don't you just be in relationship? If we are in love, doesn't mean we MUST be in love. Being in relationship doesn't give any assurance that you are going to get married to each other. Most of my friends that are in relationship often ended up in failure, though a few (like one out of 50) still manage to maintain for 3-4 years. If you are ready to be in relationship, then you must be ready to get married. You give your commitment, attention and time for your partner, isn't it the same as married couple?* I never say being is relationship is wrong, but people who in relationship is the trouble. We always want the good thing (getting attention, sharing our love, etc) but always avoid the hard part (our responsibilities, commitment, et...
