Learning About Truth Can Be Painful

Lately, I read a lot of articles regarding yaumul qiamah or Judgment Day, al-Masih ad-Dajjal (False Messiah) and conspiracies. Reading these articles really opened up my eyes and mind about what happening today in our world. I learnt a lot of new things.

Today, a lot of signs of the Judgment Days are showing
Today, most of our activities are controlled by the conspirators
Today, the life of Muslims around the world is in danger
Today, fitnah are thrown to Muslims
Today, Dajjal is still working on his plan to make people stray from their religion

Being a normal person, how can I not fell scared? In any moment right now, Dajjal can deceive us to follow and worship him, earthquake can happen anywhere in the world, Muslims can be killed anytime now without any reasons and that are just some of it. I am afraid that I will be deceived by Dajjal and his conspirators. I am afraid that I will not die as a Muslim. I am afraid, really.

There are moments where I feel like crying, feeling hopeless. I don't know if a weak person like me can overcome the fitnah of al-Masih ad-Dajjal. There are times where I think that maybe to die now is better than to face all of this. I feel weak and that there are no one to depend on. If I depend on any person in the world, I am afraid that it would not help since they may not be with me when I need them. I am totally lost in my own thoughts.

But, what if I seek help from the one that is eternal? The one that will always be there with me, the one that will always help me when I need help, the one and only Allah s.w.t....

I realized that only Him that can help us. I know, I am not a loyal servant compared to other Islamic figures like Khulafa ar-Rasyidin, that I only think of Him only when I am in desperate time. But now is the time for me to change. To be a loyal servant and always seek from His guidance and help.

I remember a lot of Hadith of Rasulullah SAW about Dajjal. Now when I think back, it is obvious that our Prophet really loves and cares for us. In on of the Hadith, he said:
"If Dajjal came when I am still alive, then I will protect you from him..."
Those words really soothe me, and I feel like Rasulullah SAW is here with us, protecting us.

But now we are on our own. We will face Dajjal one day, and we need to prepare for any hardships that he will bring. I deliver this message to all of you readers so that we can prepare our mind and heart for any ordeal that will come. Gain a lot of knowledge so that we will not be fooled by him, live our life to the fullest with al-Quran and Sunnah as our guidance, remind each other a lot and watch each others back.

Read this Du'a during tahayat akhir, before salam. InsyaAllah we can prevent ourselves from fitnah of Dajjal.

May Allah protect us from fitnah al-Massih ad-Dajjal

Wallahualam

A Little Debate About Love and Commitment

A week after thanksgiving, we had a group discussion about Islam. To make it short, suddenly it become a debate of my commitments toward someone. Yes, it is about love. These are the questions, and my answer: If you guys love each other, why don't you just be in relationship? If we are in love, doesn't mean we MUST be in love. Being in relationship doesn't give any assurance that you are going to get married to each other. Most of my friends that are in relationship often ended up in failure, though a few (like one out of 50) still manage to maintain for 3-4 years. If you are ready to be in relationship, then you must be ready to get married. You give your commitment, attention and time for your partner, isn't it the same as married couple?* I never say being is relationship is wrong, but people who in relationship is the trouble. We always want the good thing (getting attention, sharing our love, etc) but always avoid the hard part (our responsibilities, commitment, et...
